Light wash jeans with a lace trim down the leg

Light wash denim is denim that has been washed until most of the indigo lifts out, leaving a pale, faded blue rather than a deep one. This pair takes that wash and runs a crochet lace trim down the outside of each leg, from the waistband to a frayed hem, so the seam becomes the detail. Mid rise, zip fly, a wide leg that falls straight from the hip.

The lace trim

An openwork crochet band stitched over the outer seam, cream against the pale blue. It is the one thing that separates this from every plain light wash wide leg, and it is why the photographs are taken side-on. The hem is left raw under the trim.
