Tank top with built in bra

A fitted tank with a shelf bra sewn in and two removable pads. No separate bra needed. The neckline is a wide square across the front and the back drops into a U.

The body is a fine rib that holds its shape, and the hem is long enough to tuck or leave out over a high waist.

The fit

Close through the bust and waist, with a slight gather at the side seam that sits at the natural waist. The straps are fixed width and not adjustable.

Choose by cup size, not bust measurement. S fits 32A to 32C and 30D. M fits 34A to 34C and 32D. L fits 36A to 36C and 34D. XL fits 38A to 38C and 36D.

Laid flat, the bust measures 72 cm on a size S rising to 84 cm on an XL, the hem 70 cm to 82 cm, and the body length 45 cm to 48 cm. Supplier tolerance 1 to 4 cm.

Seven colours

Black, coffee, khaki, grey, red, peach pink and blue.

Care

Machine wash cold at 30 degrees or below. Do not bleach. Cool iron only. Remove the pads before washing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tank top have a built in bra?
Yes, a shelf bra is sewn into the lining with two removable foam pads. There are no wires and no hooks. The support comes from the band at the underbust plus the compression of the rib, so it suits everyday wear and light exercise rather than running.
Can you take the pads out?
Yes. Both pads slide out through an opening in the shelf bra lining. Take them out for a flatter, more natural line, or leave them in for shape and coverage. Remove them before washing so they do not fold.
What size tank top with built in bra should I order?
Order by cup size. S fits 32A to 32C and 30D, M fits 34A to 34C and 32D, L fits 36A to 36C and 34D, XL fits 38A to 38C and 36D. If you wear a 34B, take M. Do not order by your bust measurement in centimetres, because the rib stretches well past the flat figure.
Is the support enough to wear without a bra?
For everyday wear, walking, yoga and pilates, yes. That is the point of a built in shelf bra. It has no adjustable band and no encapsulation, so for running or anything high impact you would still want a sports bra underneath or instead.
How long is the tank top?
Body length runs 45 cm on a size S to 48 cm on an XL, measured from the shoulder to the hem. That sits at or just below the natural waist on most people, long enough to tuck into a high waist or wear out.
Is the ribbed fabric see-through?
The rib is a double-knit and the shelf bra adds a second layer through the chest. The darker colours, black, coffee and grey, are fully opaque. Khaki and peach pink are the two worth checking against your hand in daylight.
Does the square neckline sit high or low?
Wide and level, straight across the collarbone rather than dipping. The back drops lower into a U shape. It works under an open shirt and it does not gape when you lean forward, which is the usual complaint with a scoop.
Will it shrink in the wash?
Not if you wash it cold and hang it to dry. It is a stretch knit, and the thing that damages it is heat, not water. A hot dryer is what makes the shelf bra lose its grip at the band, which is where the support lives.

The photo does not match reality. The photo shows a brown item, but a gray one was delivered! Also, size M turned out to be too big for me. I have a third-size chest. 88/65. There was also some kind of stain.

The fabric is nice! The quality of the T-shirt is good, but the size in the description doesn't quite match. I ordered size M, and it's a bit tight where the elastic band is under the chest. I'll try to reorder in size L.

The cups are see-through, the fabric is like that of a cheap nightgown - soft. This is not a sports top; it would be embarrassing to go out wearing it. Only suitable for wearing around the house. The photo shows the texture of the fabric. For this price, it's extremely poor quality.

You can really see the cap, but without the cap it's less transparent, which is great for those who don't like their nipples being visible. Specifically, this color is transparent. Other than that, the tank top is amazing, comfortable, and nice. I'm between sizes S-M and I took M, and it's still tight but nothing is squeezing. It holds well. I've attached close-up photos with one cap and the other without.

Waist 68, chest 80. This is the first time I've seen such thin fabric in sportswear. (In the second photo, I show how small the folds are. The cups are slightly see-through; on dark fabric it's not very noticeable, but on light fabric it will be quite visible. In short, if your budget allows, look for something more expensive and thicker.)

I checked with the size. I should have taken size M; the cups are removable, but they show through the fabric, which is not nice. The fabric gathers a lot at the back of the s. There was a similar brown one from a different seller, the fabric there was better.
This T-shirt is made of 76% nylon and 24% elastane.
